حدثنا أحمد بن إسحاق ، ثنا محمد بن أحمد بن سليمان الهروي ، ثنا أحمد بن سعيد ، ثنا ابن وهب ، أخبرني معاوية بن صالح ، عن ضمرة بن حبيب ،عن أبي الدرداء رضي الله عنه ، أنه قال : لا يكون تقيا حتى يكون عالما ، ولن يكون بالعلم جميلا حتى يكون به عاملا

Abu Darda (رضي الله عنه) said, “One does not become (truly) pious unless he becomes learned, and one does not enjoy the beauty and benefits of his knowledge unless he practices what he knows.”
